Among the exceptional roster of Tera Pokémon ex, we have the enigmatic Darkness-type Charizard ex, the electrifying Lightning-type Tyranitar ex, and the blazing Fire-type Eiscue ex. It's important to note that these "type-shifted" Tera Pokémon ex maintain their usual energy requirements but possess different weaknesses that correspond to their shifted types. For example, Charizard ex, a Darkness-type card, will wield Fire attacks and be vulnerable to Grass-type Pokémon (symbolising the traditional weakness of Bug-type Pokémon in the TCG).

In August, the English version, aptly named Obsidian Flames, will make its debut. In a rare occurrence, the English set was officially announced ahead of its Japanese counterpart, generating even more buzz around its impending release. Obsidian Flames will not only include the captivating Ruler of the Black Flame set but also incorporate the highly sought-after eight ex Starter Decks from July, the ex Special Sets from May, and a selection of approximately 30 cut cards from Paldea Evolved.
